Spring cleaning... inside and out!
It’s time for a spot of spring cleaning 🧹🧽! Reorganising your space, letting go of unnecessary clutter and reconsidering what you really need. It’s a time that brings back memories for me of the home turning into a battlefield before normal comfort resumes.
As a child, I never quite understood the point of that revolution, but over time, I’ve come to see it as a rite of passage. It’s a chance to take care of ourselves, an opportunity to reinvent our space and welcome spring with a fresh spirit by letting go of all that stuff we accumulate, knowing it won’t serve us anymore 💐🌺.
Yes, if approached with the right attitude, the change of season can truly become a relaxing activity that, as well as making our living space more welcoming and manageable, is also useful for getting things back in order within ourselves. It is also the perfect time to play with colours and light, in our decor as well as in our wardrobe (and our shoe rack!). No need for major renovations or forced shopping sprees; all it takes is a small detail, an unexpected point of light, a new colour, an accessory with attitude 💅.
Taking care of our comfort zone requires the same spontaneity as getting dressed in the morning. All you need to do is pick out a few things you like, choosing what reflects your mood, your identity and the values you carry with you through your life... with determination, elegance, moderation and joy.
Afraid of revolutions? Start small. Tidy up just one room, one corner, one wardrobe... treat yourself to a new item of clothing or a new pair of shoes 👠. Get comfortable with your ability to choose. Rediscover the pleasure of showing off to the world but also of coming home and feeling at ease 💆. Take things one step at a time, and you’ll go far (with home design and beyond! 😉).
