Prêt-à-porter optimism

I was thinking about how in most circumstances our perception of things ties into our inner state, our expectations and our ability to “see the glass half full.”
Everything shifts depending on our inclination to give in to despair rather than our commitment to be positive and optimistic. And this not only influences how we tackle situations but also the relationships we forge with our fellow (mis)adventurers. I often receive compliments on the seemingly calm way I face daily struggles, and I've come to realise that a lovely smile is the best accessory to instantly lift spirits and spread positivity to others.
However, unlike putting on a tie or a pair of shoes, optimism isn’t something you just pull out of the wardrobe in the morning. It takes daily practice, in every moment, and needs to be nurtured through regular self-reflection. Before you can spread positivity to others, you must practice some self-centredness. Put yourself at the centre of your own feelings and take a moment to analyse them. Then, do the same in front of the mirror and observe how your vibes affect those around you, and try to involve them into a mood of serenity and selfless trust.
How do you do it? With a look, a gesture, a word capable of shedding light at just the right moment. I have one more tool: creations designed for you, through which I aim to express my way of being, my appreciation for nice things, and a quest for positive feelings to give and wear every day.
Because you can smile even for a pair of shoes!
